Holiday Message to the Community

holiday message to the community

With each passing year, the bustle of activity during the holiday season seems to increase. The variety of events, from kids’ concerts and recitals to get-togethers with friends and co-workers, are happening on top of the usual responsibilities of work, school and family. While it can be stressful to keep up with the schedule, I try to take a few moments each day to reflect on what makes the season special.

The holidays celebrated during this season are often filled with moments of generosity, gratitude and joy. My experiences at New London Hospital (NLH) have already proven to me that these special moments happen here all year long. The supportive staff, welcoming community and patients who are our friends and neighbors make NLH an exceptional place.

Whether it’s a nurse spending some extra time talking with a patient about their shared neighborhood, a facilities staff member helping a visitor across an icy parking lot or a small business owner who loyally supports our Hospital Days efforts, NLH embodies the holiday spirit every day.

I am filled with gratitude for the tireless efforts of our staff to provide top-notch healthcare and for our community that steps up year after year to make our fundraising goals attainable. The participation of the community in Hospital Days – along with our other efforts to further enhance patient care at NLH – is nothing short of remarkable.

I would like to take the opportunity now to sincerely thank you, the members of our community, for your commitment to NLH. Most importantly, I am grateful to you for entrusting us with your healthcare and that of your loved ones. It is truly an honor to serve you and be part of your lives.

On behalf of NLH, may you and yours enjoy a happy and healthy holiday season filled with memorable moments.

With warm wishes for the New Year ahead,

Lauren
