NLH WELLNESS DIRECTOR APPOINTED TO GOVERNOR'S COUNCIL

Catherine Bardier, wellness and community health director at New London Hospital has been appointed to serve on the Governor's Council on Physical Activity and Health known as NH Moves.

The Council is comprised of representatives from state agencies, health care, the business community, education, and numerous organizations. Its mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle for all New Hampshire residents, through an emphasis on physical activity and fitness, by working in cooperation with all sectors of society.

"I am deeply honored by my appointment to the Governor's Council," said Bardier. "I look forward to working with my colleagues from across New Hampshire in our shared determination to make our State a healthier place."

From 2009 to 2013 Bardier worked for New London Hospital as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to rejoining New London Hospital in 2016, she served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH. In her current role Bardier oversees the Wellness Connection Coalition and its subgroup, The Employer Network. In addition to leading The Wellness Connection, she is also responsible for the New London Hospital employee wellness program.
