On August 17, New London Hospital (NLH) hosted its Annual Recognition event to celebrate employees for their longstanding service to caring for the patients and the communities that the hospital and its Newport Health Center serve.

The event included a festive dinner and a recognition presentation for employees that have reached five years of service, and for those who have reached service year milestones thereafter: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35. Employee Recognition awards are also presented in four categories.

Becky Partridge of New London received the Employee of the Year award for her dedication to going above and beyond in her role, leading her department through a time of transition. Partridge has worked at the hospital for 37 years and currently serves as Environmental Services Supervisor.

Four other employees were also honored with recognition awards. Sherri Hodgdon, Senior Pharmacist, was presented with the Unsung Hero award. The Rookie of the Year award, which goes to an employee with less than a year of service, went to Milan Pakhrin, Database Report Developer/Analyst, and Sarah Humphreys, Events Coordinator. Years of Service awards were presented to more than 60 employees. Among those acknowledged included recipients, Eric Birkland, Judith Cote, Deborah Grace and Ann Jones with the thirty-five years of service award. Paul Diekman was also recognized with the thirty-years of service award.
