New London Hospital (NLH) is pleased to announce that Catherine Bardier has rejoined the hospital as director of wellness and community health. Bardier will lead The Wellness Connection: For a Healthy Lake Sunapee Region, a community-wide health initiative founded by NLH in 2013, and she will direct the hospital's own employee wellness programming.
Bardier previously worked for NLH as the vice president of human resources from 2009 to 2013. In that role, she was instrumental in establishing The Wellness Connection and its mission, which is to provide the Lake Sunapee Region communities with a sustainable and collaborative long-term plan for measurably improving health and wellness.
"I am honored to return to NLH. It feels like coming home," says Bardier. "I am passionate about my work in wellness and community health. As one of the individuals who spearheaded the initial work of The Wellness Connection, it is very rewarding to see the impact it has had on my friends and neighbors in the community and those I work with. I look forward to partnering with the school systems, employers, the faith community and others to continue bringing people together to create environments where we live, work and play that make the healthy choices easy for all individuals."
Prior to returning to NLH, Bardier served as the vice president of human resources at Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH. She has over 25 years of experience working in human resources and considerable knowledge in internal and community wellness programming. Bardier is a resident of Newbury, NH.
