Community Benefit
Our Community Benefit Philosophy and Principles
New London Hospital strives to live up to its non-profit mission every day by caring for community members who otherwise would have limited access to quality healthcare. Besides providing charity care and financial assistance, we also believe we can affect the health and wellness of the communities we serve beyond the walls of our hospital. We work to impact our community’s overall well being through our commitment to:
- Improving the quality of care
- Improving access to primary care, especially for the medically underserved
- Supporting, providing and advocating for health education and disease prevention
- Collaborating with other organizations that share a similar mission to ours
Each year we document our efforts to the community in an NLHA Community Benefit Report. Through health fairs, professional and community education and charity care we work to make a difference in our community.
